Terms & Conditions
Business and contact details

This website is owned and operated by Hanlie Wentzel. In these policies, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Hanlie Wentzel, the operator of Eunoia Homeschool and Eunoia Consulting.

What I offer

Eunoia Homeschool provides neuro-affirming homeschool and educational guidance, consultations, digital resources, self-help guides and online training. Products sold through this website are supplied digitally.

Resources and guidance support informed decisions. They do not guarantee a particular educational, admission, assessment or personal outcome. General information does not replace individual medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice where that is needed. A screening or educational recommendation is not a clinical diagnosis.

Using the website and booking for a child

An adult who has legal capacity must make purchases and bookings. A parent or guardian may arrange suitable services or resources for a child and must have authority to provide the information and permissions requested. Children may use age-appropriate resources with adult support.

Please provide accurate information, keep account access secure and use the website respectfully. Do not share another person's private information without permission, misuse accounts, disrupt the website or distribute unlawful or harmful content.

Product descriptions and orders

Before paying, please read the description, price, file format, access period, technical requirements and any product-specific conditions. Check that the resource or service suits your needs, and contact me if anything is unclear.

Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds and you receive confirmation. If an error affects your order, I will contact you to resolve it. A correction will not result in an additional charge without your agreement, and your legal rights concerning displayed prices remain available.

Fees and payment

Prices and any applicable taxes or additional charges are shown before you pay. Consultation fees are payable when booking unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments are processed through the payment options displayed at checkout.

Price changes apply to future purchases and do not change the price of an order already confirmed. A purchase or booking does not, on its own, authorize recurring charges. Any subscription offered must have its billing, renewal and cancellation terms clearly disclosed and accepted before it begins.

Digital delivery and access

Digital products are supplied through a download link, email, member area or online training platform, as described in the listing. Access is provided after successful payment or within the delivery period stated for that product. Personalized work is delivered within the timeframe agreed with you.

Please use an accurate email address and check spam or junk folders if a message is missing. Contact me if a file, link or course does not work. I will assist with access and honor any applicable refund rights. Keep a personal backup of downloadable files. Online access lasts for the period stated in the listing; purchase does not imply permanent platform access.

Permission to use resources

Unless the listing grants wider permission, your purchase gives you permission to use the resource personally or within your own household, including printing copies for that purpose. Educators, tutors and organizations should obtain a suitable license before sharing resources with clients, learners outside their household or groups.

Copyright in my original content belongs to Hanlie Wentzel. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners. You may not resell, publicly upload, redistribute or commercially reproduce purchased material without written permission, except where the law permits it.
Templates and worksheets may be completed and adapted for the personal use allowed by the purchase.

Consultations and cancellations

The Digital Products and Service Refund Policy below explains consultation cancellations, rescheduling and refunds. Please contact me promptly if an emergency or technical problem affects your attendance.

Website availability and changes

I aim to keep the website and purchased content accessible. Maintenance, technical faults or events outside my control may cause interruptions. If an interruption materially affects something you have paid for, I will communicate with you and arrange an appropriate solution.

I may update the website and future offerings. A change will not retrospectively remove access or benefits already purchased without an appropriate alternative or refund where required. Where misuse requires an account restriction, I will normally explain the concern and allow a reasonable opportunity to respond, unless immediate action is needed to protect people, information or the website.

Community features and external links

If you choose to use a community feature, your profile and contributions may be visible to other people according to that feature's settings. Please check those settings and avoid posting confidential family or health information. Closing a profile may not automatically remove every previous contribution; contact me about removal requests.

External websites and providers have their own terms, privacy practices and entry requirements. Please check current requirements directly with the relevant institution or authority when making an educational decision.

Responsibility and consumer rights

I will provide paid resources and services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud or any responsibility that South African law does not allow me to exclude. These terms do not require you to waive consumer, privacy or other rights that the law protects.

Questions and changes to these terms

South African law applies, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Please contact me about a concern so I can try to resolve it. You may also use an appropriate regulator, ombud, tribunal or court; contacting me does not remove those options.

Updated terms will be published with a revised date. Changes apply prospectively. Where a material change affects an existing agreement, I will give appropriate notice and obtain agreement where required. Marketing choices are separate from acceptance of these terms.
Privacy Policy
Who is responsible for your information

Hanlie Wentzel is responsible for the personal information processed for Eunoia Homeschool and Eunoia Consulting. The business contact details appear at the beginning of these policies. Personal information means information that identifies you or another person, or can reasonably be linked to that person.

Information Officer: Hanlie Wentzel, tel. +27798778678
Privacy enquiries: hanlie.eunoiaconsulting@gmail.com

Information collected and where it comes from

Depending on how you use my services, information may include:
-
Your name, contact details, billing information and communication preferences.
-
Booking details, order history, payment status and refund records.
-
Information you provide through enquiries, intake forms, consultations, uploaded documents and other correspondence.
-
Relevant family and educational information, a learner's strengths and support needs, and reports you choose to share for an agreed service.
-
Account identifiers, profile details, feedback and contributions you choose to submit.
-
Technical information collected through the website, such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, interactions and cookie preferences.
Most information comes directly from you. Where appropriate and authorised, relevant information may also come from a learner, a parent or guardian, or a member of an agreed support team. Wix and payment providers supply the information needed to manage website activity, orders and bookings.

Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or service. You are not asked to send passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated personal reports by email, messaging or an intake form. Authentication and payment information are processed through the relevant platform and payment provider.

Why information is used

I use relevant information to answer enquiries, arrange and provide the services you request, deliver purchases, prepare agreed recommendations, administer payments and refunds, and resolve concerns. Website information also supports security, troubleshooting and service improvement. Feedback used to identify you publicly requires separate permission.

The lawful reason for processing depends on its purpose. This may include performing an agreement, meeting a legal obligation, consent, or a legitimate interest where the law permits it and your rights have been considered. Sensitive information and children's information require the additional safeguards described below.

Some details, such as an email address for digital delivery or information necessary for an individual consultation, are needed to provide the requested service. If you do not provide them, I may be unable to complete that purchase or service. Optional information and marketing choices are identified separately; where a law specifically requires information, I will explain that requirement.

Children and information about support needs

Educational work may involve children's information and health-related information, such as diagnostic reports or descriptions of disabilities and support needs. I will explain what is needed and why, and obtain the relevant specific consent before collecting or using it, unless another lawful authorisation applies.

For a child, permission must come from a parent, guardian or other person legally competent to consent. I will involve the child in a way suited to their age and understanding. For an adult learner, family involvement or payment for a service does not automatically authorise disclosure of that adult's records; their own authority or another lawful basis is required.

An intake form or acceptance of these policies is not blanket permission to collect every available report or share it with anyone. I will seek specific permission for relevant communication with a school, practitioner or support team, unless disclosure is otherwise required or permitted by law.

Service messages and optional marketing

I may send messages needed to administer an enquiry, order, consultation, account or refund. These are separate from newsletters and promotional messages.

I will ask you to opt in before sending electronic marketing. Agreeing to general website terms or buying a product does not, by itself, sign you up. You may unsubscribe or email me to stop marketing at any time. I will retain only the limited information needed to respect an opt-out. Unsubscribing does not prevent essential messages about an existing transaction.

Service providers and sharing

The website is hosted on Wix. Relevant information may be handled by the providers used for website hosting, payments, bookings, training access, email, online meetings and business administration. Access must be limited to what is needed for the relevant task, with appropriate confidentiality and data-protection arrangements.

I do not sell your personal information. Identifiable intake information and reports will not be used in public case studies or testimonials without separate permission. Information may be disclosed where a lawful request, legal obligation or another legally recognised ground requires or permits it.

Wix and payment providers also publish information about their own processing. You can read the Wix Privacy Policy. The provider shown at checkout explains its payment-processing practices.

Processing outside South Africa

Wix and some other providers process information outside South Africa. Wix identifies Israel and other locations in its current sub-processor information.

International transfers must have a lawful basis and the protection required by POPIA. I will assess the recipient's safeguards and use appropriate contractual or other lawful protections. Any additional requirements for children's or special personal information must also be met. Merely browsing the website is not treated as blanket consent to every international transfer.

Cookies and website analytics

Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as security, sign-in, shopping and preferences. Analytics or marketing tools may collect additional website-usage information when enabled.

Non-essential tracking will be subject to the consent required by applicable law. You can manage those choices through the website's cookie preferences, and can also manage cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect features such as checkout or sign-in. See Wix's cookie information for platform details.

Security and retention

I will use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, restrict access and require appropriate protection from service providers. No online system is risk-free. If personal information is accessed or acquired without authority, I will take the protective and notification steps required by POPIA.

Records are kept only as long as needed for the service, applicable legal requirements and justified recordkeeping or dispute purposes. Records no longer needed will be securely deleted or de-identified. I can explain the retention criteria that apply to a particular record on request.

Access and other privacy requests

You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request access or correction, seek deletion where legally available, object to processing where applicable, or withdraw consent on which processing relies. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing. A legal retention duty or another lawful basis may limit what can be deleted or stopped.

Please send requests to the privacy email above. I may need proportionate proof of identity or authority before releasing records. I will explain the process, any legally permitted fee, and the reasons for any lawful restriction. You may also complain to the Information Regulator through its complaints process or contact POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Updates to this policy

I will update this policy when relevant practices change and revise the date. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. If a new purpose requires fresh consent, posting a revised policy does not replace obtaining it.
Digital Products and Service Refund Policy
What this policy covers

This policy covers digital resources, downloadable guides, paid online training and booked consultations. The terms below apply alongside your rights under South African consumer law.

Missing files and access problems

If a download, email, video or course is missing, incorrect or inaccessible, please contact me with your order details and a description of the problem. I can resend access information, correct an error or help troubleshoot.

If I cannot supply the purchased product or service within the agreed terms, I will arrange a refund or an alternative that you accept. An alternative, exchange or credit will not be forced on you where you are entitled to a refund.

Digital products that do not meet the promised standard

Please contact me if a product is defective, materially different from its description or unsuitable for a purpose specifically agreed before purchase. I will honour the remedies available under applicable consumer law. Downloading or using a file does not automatically remove those rights.

Where the Consumer Protection Act's six-month implied warranty applies, qualifying defective goods may be subject to repair, replacement or refund at the consumer's direction. A service-quality failure may require correction or a reasonable refund reflecting the failure. Short change-of-mind deadlines below do not replace these rights.

Additional change of mind refunds

In addition to any statutory rights, I offer a full refund requested within seven calendar days of purchase if you have not downloaded, opened, streamed or otherwise accessed the digital resource or training. Please include your order details and confirm whether access has begun.

Once content has been accessed, I do not ordinarily offer discretionary refunds solely for a change of mind. This restriction does not remove a cooling-off right or a remedy that still applies under the law. Discounted products have the same statutory protections as other purchases.

Statutory cooling off rights

Where section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies, you may cancel without reason or penalty within seven days after receiving goods, or within seven days after concluding a service agreement. Valid cancellations under that section are refunded within 30 days of cancellation.

Statutory exceptions depend on the product and circumstances. I will explain any relevant exception before purchase or before an early service starts. Providing a download link does not, by itself, establish that every statutory right has ended. Where advance consent to an early service is relevant, it will be requested separately.

Personalised work

For individual reports or other commissioned work, we will agree the scope, fee, turnaround and cancellation arrangements before work begins. Any charge for authorised work already completed must be lawful and reasonable. Personalisation does not remove rights concerning defective, misdescribed or undelivered work.

Consultation cancellations and rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a consultation. With that notice, you may choose a full refund or transfer your payment to a new appointment.

For shorter notice or a missed appointment, a reasonable cancellation charge may apply. I will consider the circumstances, the notice given and whether the appointment could be filled, explain the charge and refund the balance. The full fee is not automatically forfeited. No cancellation fee applies where the intended recipient cannot attend because of their hospitalisation or death, or where a statutory right allows cancellation without penalty.

If I cancel your appointment, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund. If technical difficulties prevent a session from proceeding, please contact me so we can assess what happened and agree a fair solution.

How to request a refund

Email hanlie.eunoiaconsulting@gmail.com with your name, order or booking reference, purchase date and the issue or reason for your request. Where no reason is legally required, you do not have to provide one. Please do not send full card details or passwords. Proof of purchase may be requested; an order confirmation or payment record is usually sufficient.

I will explain the outcome and any relevant deduction. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method where possible. A credit or voucher will be used only if you agree, where a monetary refund is otherwise due. Required refunds will be made within the applicable legal deadline, including the 30-day period for valid section 44 cancellations; I will not delay that deadline until an internal approval is completed. Banks or payment providers may take additional time to display the transaction.

If a refund ends your right to use the refunded content, please stop using it and delete retained copies. This does not restrict your ability to keep evidence of the transaction or pursue a complaint.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that South African law protects.
